Celestial Koi Earrings are created with handcrafted, artisan-designed beads featuring swirling, orange-and-white koi swimming in a deep ocean blue sea of sparkling stars. Below, a shiny golden-colored koi is suspended mid-leap, starting its long journey upstream.

According to legend, there was once a koi that was determined to swim to the top of a waterfall. While the other koi turned back and swam away, this one struggled on, fighting against the strong current. After trying and failing many times, it finally made it all the way to the top, where the gods recognized its determination and rewarded it by turning it into a powerful, golden dragon.

Each bead is handmade with polymer clay, so every koi has its own distinct pattern -- no two will be the same. The metal charms are intricately detailed on both front and back with fins, scales, and barbels that are characteristic of the beautiful Japanese koi. Koi represent prosperity, good luck, and long life. These earrings come with gold-filled hook earwires.
