Green Serpentine Butterfly Earrings are made with a decorative filigree antique brass butterfly that alights softly upon a vivid translucent green serpentine bead. These serpentine beads are very similar to jade and are known as Canadian Jade. The earwires are gold plated leverbacks.

Canadian Jade is actually a trade name for this beautiful Serpentine semi-precious gemstone. Like true jade, this particular serpentine is extremely tough and great for jewelry. This bead has a vivid, translucent green with a sprinkling of black inclusions.
