Dragon's Vein Agate is prized for its eye-catching patterns and rich color, making it an excellent choice for bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and custom beaded creations. The vibrant blue tones pair beautifully with sterling silver, pewter, stainless steel, and antique-finished findings, adding depth and character to both contemporary and traditional designs. These beads are smooth round beads with a high gloss polished luster.

These beads may not be perfectly round and can range in diameter +/-0.5mm. Strands are sold as temporarily strung and can vary in length +/- 0.5".

💎 Geological Origins

• The Base Stone: It begins as natural, pale, microcrystalline chalcedony quartz (agate).
• The Crackle Effect: To create the signature veins, the stone is heated to 600–700°C and then rapidly cooled. This deliberate thermal shock creates controlled surface fractures.
• The Saturated Color: Because natural agate rarely occurs in vibrant electric or cobalt blues, the stone is immersed in a dye solution. The deep blue pigments pool heavily inside the new fractures, accentuating the "veins".
• Physical Profile: It retains natural agate characteristics, including a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7, making it durable for everyday wear.
