Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! With so much happening — including the excitement of the Olympics in Milan — we didn’t want to be left behind.
We’ve just received a fresh shipment of TierraCast components from Passion Fashion, and it includes restocks of many longtime favorites:
• Heirloom Clasps (Antique Silver)
• Bar & Ring Clasps (Antique Copper and Antique Brass)
• 4x2mm Crimp Ends in Distressed (Antique Copper and White Bronze) and Jardin (Antique Pewter and Antique Brass) finishes
• Distressed Barrel Beads (Antique Copper, Bright Gold, White Bronze)
We’ve also replenished the ever-popular Tree of Life Buttons (Antique Brass & Antique Silver), and we’re excited to introduce something new to our collection — Apple Blossom Buttons (Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Antique Silver).
Several of these pieces have been sold out for quite some time, so if you’ve been waiting to restock your studio, now is the perfect opportunity.

We’ve decided to branch out and begin carrying Passion Fashion’s Zamak ocean-themed charms. You’ll find beautiful designs including Starfish, Sand Dollar, Clamshell, Nautilus Shell, and a few additional coastal-inspired styles. These are stunning, high-quality charms that will be perfect for summer and beach-themed creations.

What is Zamak you ask?
Zamak (also written ZAMAK) is a family of zinc-based die-casting alloys composed primarily of zinc with controlled additions of aluminum, magnesium, and copper.
The name “Zamak” comes from the German names of its alloying elements:
- Zink
- Aluminium
- Magnesium
- Kupfer (copper)
In jewelry and craft components (like many TierraCast-style items), Zamak allows detailed designs at a reasonable cost while maintaining durability.
Some other notes related to TierraCast that may be important to you -
1. Made in the EU
As inventory transitions from legacy TierraCast components (originally manufactured in Santa Rosa, California, USA) to the newly produced lines by Passion Fashion in Athens, Greece, we are introducing a “Made in EU” designation on applicable products.
This labeling update will:
- Distinguish original USA-made TierraCast components from newly manufactured EU production
- Improve transparency regarding country of origin
- Help customers make informed purchasing decisions during the transition period

2. Antique Gold Finish
Over the years, antique gold has been perhaps the most popular finish of the TierraCast line of components. Unfortunately, Passion Fashion does not currently manufacture any antique gold components. Any antique gold items we currently have available are remaining legacy inventory and will not be restocked once sold out. We are hopeful this will be resolved in the future, but there is no confirmed timeline.
Passion Fashion does currently offer a Bright Gold finish on select items, and we will be adding these as they become available in components we stock.
